Cathy Kirkland Obituary
Cathy was born in Griffin, Georgia on November 22, 1954. Her father, Lynwood Brooks, and husband, Steve Kirkland preceded her in death. Cathy graduated from Griffin High School, a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She loved listening to music, the outdoors, working in the yard, traveling, family and friends getting together, and sitting by the wood-burning heater.
She is survived by daughter, Kimberly M. Leach (Tommy Bacot); son, Jason Bush (Kelli); grandchildren, Courtney Couch, Aubrey Leach, her mother, Carol Walker Brooks; brother, Brian Brooks; several nieces, nephew and cousins.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, October 20, 2025 at 11:00 am in the chapel. Minister Don Banks will officiate. Interment will be in Westwood Gardens.
