Cathy M. Lucianin passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer.
Cathy was a pharmacy technician. She claimed to be former cruise director at Passaic General Hospital where she spent most of her career. Cathy loved coordinating the softball team, planning ski trips and other activities. She loved vacationing at the St. Lawrence River, boating and watching the beautiful sunsets.
Cathy was an avid blood donor and spent a lot of her free time volunteering with dog rescue groups. She had a very special place in her heart for pit bulls.
Cathy is predeceased by her father Kenneth, her mother Joanne, her brother Robert and her brother-in-law, John Sobczyk.
She is survived by her sisters Wendy Sobczyk, Barbara Morris (Daniel), Judy Young (Brian), Deanna Lucianin and Jeanna Lucianin (Dr. Robert Gajdos); brothers Kenneth Lucianin (Lisa), David Lucianin (Grace), and Gregg Lucianin (Anna); nieces and nephews, Christopher (Marissa), Kristina, John, Mia, Nicole, Kyle, Sofia, Joseph, Dean, Kenli; and a great niece, Quinn. She was loved by her Crossley and Tiller aunts, uncles and cousins, and cousins the Fishers.
There will be a private cremation and a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. At that celebration donations of dog food and gift cards for dog necessities will be greatly appreciated to help care for her 3 babies, Lassie, Sugar and Scout, who were adopted by her good friends (family) the Vargos.
In lieu of flowers, donations may also be made in her name to Stand Up To Cancer, PO Box 843721, Los Angeles, CA 90084-3721 (www.standuptocancer.org).
