Cathy Lanell Miller

Cathy Lanell Miller, age 71 of Monticello, AR transitioned Wednesday October 8, 2025, at The Woods A Nightingale Community. She was a native of Fountain Hill, AR and a member of the Bethel A.M.E Church. Ms. Miller was a former clerk at a local Mercantile store and a seamstress for the Hamburg Shirt Factory.

She was preceded in death by a son, Antwan Miller (2002), her parents, Louis Edward II and Bobbie Jean Grays-Miller, brothers, Louis Edward Miller, III (2003), Jimmy Ray Miller (1958), Charles Miller (1984), and Dwain Miller (1999). Cathy loved to cook, solve Word search puzzle books, and spend quality time with her family. She enjoyed listening to music. Her favorite genre was the Blues.

She is survived by three sons, Shawn Keith and wife Patricia of Crossett, AR, Jarvis Miller of Fountain Hill, AR, and Marcus Miller of Monticello, AR; two brothers, Jerry Miller and wife Mae Lee of Monticello, AR, and Bobby Ray Miller wife Gwen of Fountain Hill, AR; four sisters, Lillie Simpson and husband A.C. of Monticello, AR, Barbara Hamilton of Fountain Hill, Lecinda and Melinda Miller both of Dallas, TX; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Graveside service will be Saturday October 11, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pelium Cemetery in the Longview Community of Ashley County with Presiding Elder Shalane Jenkins officiating. Pallbearers are Johnathan Wilson, Jerry Miller, Jr., Patrick Miller, Curtis Simpson, Joseph Watson, Peyton Miller, Donald Smith, and Adam Martin, II. Burial in Mt. Pelium Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
