Cathy Roberts Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chapel Hill Mortuary & Memorial Gardens - Cedar Hill on Feb. 3, 2026.
Cathy Ann Roberts, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away February 2, 2026, at the age of 66. She was born January 15, 1960 in Albuquerque, NM to Donna (nee Haarhues) and Harold Wehrman. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Wehrman.

Loving mother of Aaron Fredericks and Brittany Roberts; cherished grandmother of Zachary and Lucas Fredericks; dear sister of Brenda (Mark) Dolan and Curtis (Ann) Wehrman; and dearest companion of her beloved fur babies, Willow and Teddy.

Cathy was one of a kind-the kind of woman who loved deeply, defended fiercely, and was always there for you, although she might not be on time, she was there!

Cathy was a strong, independent force of nature who adored her children and grandchildren above all else. If you were one of her people, she was always in your corner… whether you asked for it or not. Cross her kids, though, and you quickly learned just how fearless and protective she could be.

She loved her dogs-especially her German shepherds-and had a soft spot for anything with four legs and a loyal heart. She was an avid reader, particularly of mystery novels, and could often be found lost in a book when she wasn't busy fixing something that "just needed to be done."

Cathy was incredibly handy and proud of it. From carpentry to plumbing, DIY projects around her home, and anything else requiring tools and determination, she could do it all. There was nothing broken she couldn't fix-and if she couldn't fix it, she'd figure out how.

She found real purpose in her work and was a dedicated, reliable employee who enjoyed her role as Maintenance Manager at Connie Cole Realty in property management. Cathy worked hard and took pride in doing things right.

She loved the river life-float trips on the Meramec and Black Rivers, Pacific Palisades, and Heathen Beach brought her joy and peace. Add good music, arts and crafts, and a little adventure, and she was right at home.

Christmas was Cathy's Super Bowl. She loved it and absolutely overdid it-making sure everyone had gifts, plenty of them, and that the holiday was celebrated properly. Birthdays were no different; she made sure her kids and grandkids always felt special and celebrated.

Cathy was a collector of all things-what things exactly depended on the day-and she loved her friends just as generously. She was dependable, loyal, and would truly give you the shirt off her back… just maybe not arrive on time to give it to you.

Fearless, loving, creative, stubborn in the best ways, and endlessly generous-Cathy Ann Roberts leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lives made better simply by knowing her. She will be deeply missed, fiercely remembered, and forever loved.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date; details will be posted soon.
