Catherine "Cathy" Lynn Warren, 52, was so many things to so many people. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, momma, grandmother (Lolly) and friend. She had sincere compassion for others and was kind with a heart of gold, spreading joy to everyone she met.
She went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 28, 2023 after a lengthy, hard-fought battle with many challenging illnesses.
Born April 19, 1971, in Decatur, GA, she was a daughter of Martha Anne Cook Reaves of Watkinsville and the late James "Jim" Cole Reaves.
Cathy lived her dream of being a wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother. She homeschooled her four children and was very proud of each of them and their accomplishments. The entirety of her life centered around her family and she rejoiced in the times they shared. Cathy loved spending time with them, through activities such as enjoying the sunshine, walking, cycling, coloring, solving puzzles, playing games, going to movies and theater.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Donald A. "Donny" Warren; four children, Jessica (Codie) Feazel of Oxford, Joshua (Ashley) Warren of Watkinsville, Coley Warren and Makayla Warren, both of Athens; sister, Cindy Reaves Sontag; three grandchildren, Zora, Silas and Calla; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM and Friday from noon until 2:00PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, WEST, with Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to CHOA – Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta.
