Catin Ceclia Dillman, a vibrant spirit who embraced life with unyielding enthusiasm, was born on May 8, 1991, in Hebron, Nebraska. Her journey came to a close on December 28, 2024, leaving behind a tapestry of cherished memories and an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
Growing up, Catin's life was a whirlwind of adventure shaped by her love for exploration. Time spent at her great-grandparents’ home, lovingly referred to as Papa Bob and Grandma Shorty’s, was the playground of her youth—a backdrop for endless escapades. From week-long adventures to delightful vacations, each visit unfolded new chapters filled with wonder, a sparkle that only the innocence of childhood can spark. The weekends, holidays, and summers were seldom dull, woven together with the threads of laughter, adventures, and the refreshment of unbroken family bonds.
Catin's educational journey began in Beatrice, where she blossomed during her time at Paddock Lane Elementary, Beatrice Middle School and Marysville High School, places where her vivacious personality truly began to flourish.
Outspoken, she had an innate ability to transform the mundane into something spectacular, filling everyday moments with joy and spontaneity. Whether racing around country roads with her beloved Kylah, or slow drive with her precious Kash in search of fishing spots to cast their lines, her zest for life was contagious. She effortlessly drew her nieces, Faye and Legacy, into her spirited world, encouraging them to embrace their playful sides with a rebellious smile.
Throughout her career, Catin dedicated her talents to Route 77 Cornerstore in Waterville, where her engaging nature and warm smile touched many. Her undeniable charisma and knack for connecting with people, undoubtedly shaped every interaction, leaving patrons not just well served, but uplifted.
Catin leaves her children, Kylah Chase and Kash Larabee, to carry forward her legacy of adventure and joy. She is survived by her loving parents, Sheila and Brian Swearingen of Marysville, her supportive sister, Andi Swearingen; and her spirited nieces, Faye and Legacy. Also holding her memory dear are her grandparents, Charlotte Swearingen of Hanover and Clyde Dillman of Hasting, Nebraska, whose stories and love enveloped her in warmth and guidance.
Catin’s life, while tragically cut short, will be celebrated at a memorial service held at Christie-Anderes Funeral Home, in Waterville, Kansas, on January 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
