C.D. “Chuck” Nicholson, 76, passed away at his home Wednesday January 14, 2026. Visitation will be Sunday January 18, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday January 19, 2026 at First Baptist Church Graham.

Chuck was born January 9, 1950 in Olney to the late Dorothy Louise (Bailey) Nicholson and Earl Ray Nicholson. He graduated from Graham High School and worked in the oilfield most of his life. He married Sammie Moreland June 16, 1973 in Graham. Chuck was an active member of First Baptist Church Graham.

Chuck loved his family. He loved going on family vacations every summer and playing nightly 42 games. He loved his church. He was an active deacon and volunteered wherever he could. His faith in God was the foundation of who he was and he lived that faith daily through kindness, generosity, and service to others.

Though our hearts ache at his passing, we find comfort knowing that he is at peace and resting in the presence of the Lord he loved and served so faithfully. We can only imagine him hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant”.

Survivors include; wife, Sammie Nicholson of Graham; sons, Trent Nicholson and wife Jennifer of Crowley, Trey Nicholson and wife Rochelle of Iowa Park; grandchildren, Destiny O’Pry and husband Colin of Lubbock, Hailie Nicholson of Fort Worth, Audrey Nicholson of Lubbock, Anthony Keene-Lopez of Kennedale, Alex Keene of Crowley, and Wyatt Nicholson of Iowa Park; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Collier of Wichita Falls and Nicki Hamilton and husband David of Rhome.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Barbara Daily and Pat Cayer, brothers-in-law Joe Collier and J.D. Brock.

The family ask that memorials be made to First Baptist Church, 515 Cherry Street, Graham, Texas 76450.
