Cecelia (Hornock) Yurack, 88, of New Alexandria, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at Independence Health System - Latrobe Hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1936, in New Alexandria, to the late Andrew and Mary (Repko) Hornock. She was a homemaker and a member of St. James Parish, New Alexandria. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Yurack, in 2013; four brothers, James, Andrew, Philip, and Edward Hornock; and a sister, Elizabeth Vargo. Cecelia is survived by two sons, John Yurack, of New Alexandria, and James Yurack and his wife, Amy Loch, of Niceville, FL; three grandchildren, Hannah, Evan, and Trevor Yurack; a sister, Margaret Forish; as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Church, with Reverend Tyler J. Bandura as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree.
