Cecil Dutton Obituary
A funeral service will be 2 PM Monday, December 2, 2024 in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna with Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta.
A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Rev. Dutton was a member of The Second Baptist Church of Smyrna where he served as the Pastor of the Church for 51 Years before retiring. He was a member of the Model A Restorers Club and The Small Engine Club. Rev. Dutton was a member of the Light Brothers Quartet, where he played the banjo.
Survivors include: Wife- Jane Dutton of Austell, Son and Daughter in Law- Tony and Renee Dutton of Temple, Daughter and Son in Law- Vicki and Joel Baker of Mableton, , 4 Grandchildren- Hannah Williams (Paul), Jared Dutton, Evan Baker (Evie), and Belinda Maloy (Derek), 10 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12 PM to 2 PM on Monday before the service at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. www.carmichaelcares.com, 770-435-4467.

We are so sorry to hear of Preacher Dutton´s passing. He and his wife were a part of the Whitaker family. He married several members of our family. He was such a Godly man and will be missed. Praying for the family and friends who knew him.

He was a fine man and loved God. He was a long-time friend of my Mom and Dad. He will be greatly missed, but he is home with his Father and all the family and friends who have gone on before.

Mother and Dad thought th world of Cecil. He was always there when we needed him. He will be missed but I know is happy with his heavenly Father.
