Cecil L. Kasdorf

Cecil L. Kasdorf, age 82, passed away on April 30, 2025 as the result of an accident. His wife Lois and daughters Sandy and

Suzanne were with him at the time of his passing.

Cecil was born in Nebraska and grew up in Wichita and Albuquerque. He was a graduate of Highland High and earned a BA and MBA at NMSU. He was one of the students in NMSU's first MBA graduating class.

After graduating in 1970, he worked for Caterpillar Inc. in Illinois and returned to Albuquerque in 1973 where he owned and operated Kasdorf Mfg. Inc., a manufacturing company that made wood products for the trophy and award industry until his retirement in 2010. The business is still in operation.

Cecil and Lois were married in 1963. They moved to Elephant Butte, NM, permanently in 2010. He never wanted to live anywhere else but at "The Lake". When younger, he was an avid snow skier and scuba diver.

Cecil is survived by his wife Lois (aka Louie) and his daughters Sandy Nelson (Terry), Suzanne Kasdorf (Brandon), granddaughters Miranda Nelson (Daphne and Lucas) and Kayla Schuch (Kyle), grandsons Morgan West and Connor West, and great grandson Reece Schuch.

He is also survived by his brother Roy (Marti) Kasdorf and sister Carol (Dave) Kasdorf. Cecil made friends easily and is also survived by countless friends and extended family. Special mention to dear friends Bob Martinez, Steve Thaxton and Norman Beattie. He was preceded in death by his parents C. W. (Bus) and Winona Kasdorf.

Cremation has taken place. There are no services planned, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
