Cecil Jay Riddle, age 56, of Windy Cove Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 27, 1967, in Morehead, he was a son of the late Clyde Riddle and Feby Delphia Mays Riddle Law. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Michael Riddle in 2007 and Jared Cecil Riddle in 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jannie Louise Lyons Riddle, whom he married October 2, 1995; two daughters, Emily Riddle of Morehead and Feby Riddle of Wallingford; three brothers, Walt Riddle (Melissa), Jimmy Riddle (Teresa), and Jeff Riddle, all of Morehead; three sisters, Della Thornsberry (Timmy) of Elliott County, Cheryl Kelsey and Flory Riddle, both of Morehead; and several nieces and nephews.
Cecil was a self-employed laborer and a former employee of Corbin Equipment and Wilson Construction Company. He enjoyed working at the Morehead Flea Market and spending time with family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joey Damron officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Derek Monroe, Erek Ellis, John Conn, Chris Kelsey, David Riddle, and Roman Patrick. Honorary pallbearers: Jeff Riddle and Walt Riddle
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
