Sergeant Cedric Lee Bunn began his early journey on November 6, 1959. He was born to the late Robert Bunn and Gladys Ellison Bunn in Pitt County, NC. He peacefully transitioned this earthly life on Friday, June 6, 2025
Sergeant Cedric Lee Bunn was baptized at an early age at Wynn Chapel Baptist Church. He was a graduate of North Pitt High School in 1978 and began his military career in National Guard as a Military Police Officer serving 24 years before retiring. He also worked at Consolidated Diesel, Carolina Enterprise, Glenoit Mills and Simpson Industrial. Sergeant Cedric Lee Bunn enjoyed cooking and entertaining his family, friends and community. Sergeant Cedric Lee Bunn were a fisherman at heart with his Portsmouth and Tarboro family. He was a member of the Stars of the East #233, Fayza Temple #254 Oasis of Greenville, Desert of North Carolina and Roanoke Consistory #248. Sergeant Cedric Lee Bunn was loved and cherish by all that came in contact with him.
Sergeant Cedric Lee Bunn was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bunn and Gladys Ellison Bunn.
He leave behind precious memories his wife, Sybil Hyman Bunn of the home; two sons; Micheal Mitchell of Wilson, NC, Marcus Mitchell of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, India Jones of Greenville, NC; Goddaughter/niece, Claraissa Dudley (Damien) of Killeen, Texas; eight grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; special great nephew/Godgrandson; Cairo Dudley; three brothers, Dennis Bunn (Julie) of Bethel, NC, Donnie of Georiga, Robert Bunn (Mary) of Bethel, NC; one sister; Juanita Bunn of Greensboro, NC; three uncles, Sterling Bunns and Zachery Bunns of Greenville, NC, James Ellison of New Jersey; two aunts, Carolyn Purvis of Greenville, NC, Mary Purvis of Bethel, NC; four sisters-in-law, Princess Hyman, Gardenia Wilford (Empro), Lisa Hyman, and Pattie Bridges (Ronnie); two brothers-in-law, Max Hyman (Gloria) and Charles Hyman (Pamela); a special little buddy, Carter Melton of Greenville, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
