Cedric Xavier Thomas

Cedric Xavier Thomas was born on February 23, 1963, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late Emma Jean Wooten-Thomas-Gardner and Merle Louis Gardner. A loving father, grandfather, and dedicated professional, Cedric built a life rich with family, passion, and laughter.
Cedric was a proud Kansas City native who received his high school diploma from Paseo High School. Dedicated to continuous learning, he furthered his education by earning a Certification in electronics from the Kansas City Vocational Technical Center and an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Penn Valley Community College.
He built a successful and committed career, most notably working for Missouri Gas and Energy for over 20 years. In the later stages of his career, he applied his technical skills as an electrician technician for AT&T and later transitioned to a role with GO Health Insurance company.
Outside of work, Cedric was a man of passion and enthusiasm. He loved playing sports and was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. His friends and family will fondly remember his skills in the kitchen, as he truly enjoyed cooking and barbecuing. Above all, Cedric will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor; he had an uncanny ability to make anyone laugh and could always put a smile on your face.
Cedric was preceded in death by his parents, Emma Jean Wooten-Thomas-Gardner and Merle Louis Gardner Sr., his brother John L. Thomas, and his sister Yolanda Maria Thomas-Johnson. His memory will live on through his two devoted daughters, Aneesah M. Thomas and Alexius S. Thomas, and his grandson, Ceontre
R. Williams. He is also survived by his three sisters, Regina Thierry, Bonnie Lewis his brother in-law John Lewis, and Sherry Thomas, and his two brothers, Lynn Thomas and Merle Gardner along with his loving partner Sharon Reine and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Cedric will be loved and remembered by his family and countless friends forever.
