Celeste Portela Obituary
Celeste was the beloved wife of Serafim Portela of Hawthorne. Loving mother of John Portela and his wife Maria of Hawthorne. Dear sister of Binda Mendes, the late Maria Lopes, the late Rosa Nieves and the late Manuel Pedro.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30am on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at St. Anthony R.C. Church, 276 Diamond Bridge Avenue in Hawthorne, meeting at church. Interment will follow at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Fair Lawn.
