Four Corners, LA - A home-going celebration of life for Mrs. Celestine L. "Teen" Nico 92, the former Celestine Lockett will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Saint John Baptist Church (1244 Big Four Corners Road-Jeanerette, LA) with Rev. Dr. David Jones, Pastor officiating.

She will await the resurrection at Sorrel Community Cemetery (Highway 318) in Sorrel, LA.

The visitation will be held at Saint John Baptist Church on Friday, July 25, 2025, beginning at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

"Teen" as she was affectionately known, was a native of Four Corners, LA and a resident of New Iberia, LA. She departed this life on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at her residence.

She was a member of Saint John Baptist Church where she served as an usher for many years. After working for thirty years as a Nurse's Aide at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia, LA, she started a sitting service with a dear friend, Mrs. Audrey Joe. She gave her time, life, and love to caring for others and putting everyone's needs before her own.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Gregory Paul Lockett of Four Corners, LA, Tarlton Peter Nico, Jr. of New Iberia, LA, Bobby Nico (Avis) of Baldwin, LA and Clifford Nico (Rose) of New Iberia, LA; four daughters, Tracey N. Bonito (Michael) of Atlanta, GA, Sonia N. Williams (Benny) of New Iberia, LA, Christine N. Barard (Lawrence) of Baldwin, LA and Angela Nico Johnson (Bernard) of Jeanerette, LA; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tarlton Peter Nico, Sr.; her parents, Wallace Lockett and Laura Richardson Lockett; one daughter, Charlene Nico Williams; four siblings, and three great-granddaughters,

Serving as Active Pallbearers are Julian Williams, Blue Williams, Nicholas Barard, Cristian Barard, Antonio Nico and Kullen Willliams.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Gregory Paul Lockett, Tarlton Peter Nico, Jr., Bobby Nico, Clifford Nico, Benny Williams and Kevin Williams.
