Celia Berkowitz Obituary
Celia Dolores Berkowitz, born on the first day of Spring in 1944 and passed away on February 24, 2024. She left this place better than she found it, with her kindness, intelligence, generosity and strength. She was a beloved Colleague, Friend, Partner, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a Teacher, an Entrepreneur and a Finance Professional. She loved to walk, travel, garden, cook and read. She loved sports... all things Colorado and the Kansas Jayhawks. She loved art... in all its forms. She loved dogs and especially rescues. She also loved to dress her boys like twins :)
She is survived by her life partner Mark; her sons David and Daniel; her daughter-in-law Stacey; granddaughters Saige, Skye and Aliyah; and great grandson Aiko. And her beloved pups Bailey & Rita Mae.
A graveside service in honor of Celia will be held Thursday, Febuary 29 2024 at 12:00pm, at Mount Nebo Cemetery (11701 E 13th Ave, Aurora, CO 80010). Shiva will be held the day of the service from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Celia's home; 3665 Lee St, Wheat Ridge CO 80033.
Instead of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Celia's name to National Jewish Hospital, or the Jewish Agency for Israel North American Council.
