A Memorial Service for Celia Diane Hassell, 70, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend David Fortuna.

Diane was born on January 30, 1954 to Marvin R. White and Daisy Loretta Killenger in Bossier City, Louisiana and peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 following a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.

Diane was born at Barksdale Air Force Base in 1954 and lived most of her life in the Shreveport and Bossier City area. Diane worked many years as a nurse, beginning her career at Schumpert Hospital and then serving as a school nurse for the Bossier Parish School System. She went on to find true work fulfillment at Brentwood Hospital in the children’s unit, where she worked for many years.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lila Dobson and brother, Richard White. She is survived by her husband, Cal Hassell; siblings, Barbara Steinfield, Margaret Newman, Marvin White and wife, Nancy; daughter, Emily and fiancé, Michael Stermer; son, Jeff; grandchildren, Kasey and fiancé, Dillon Pourteau, Kobe and fiancé, Katie Hunter, and Aidan and great-granddaughter, Ellie.

Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
