Celia "Sally" Peralez

Celia "Sally" Peralez, 65 was born October 1, 1956, in Olton to Genaro & Josefina Martinez. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1976 and married Ernest Peralez on February 16, 1980, in Lubbock. She loved sports and enjoyed watching her favorite teams play which include The Dallas Cowboys, Chiefs, Texas Tech and the Rangers. Past times she enjoyed were playing bingo, crocheting, and sewing; but more than anything, Celia loved spending time with her family and only grandchild.
In the early evening of December 28, 2021, Celia M. Peralez was called from this earth. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ernest Peralez of Lubbock; her daughter, Stephanie Loewen and husband Chris of Lubbock; one brother, Genaro Martinez Jr. of Lubbock; her sister, Rosalinda Rios of Lubbock and one grandson, Knox Loewen.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Rosendo Martinez, David Martinez.
Services for Celia will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 7, 2021, in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Pastor Elias Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A prayer service will be held, 7:00 pm Thursday, January 6, 2022 in The Chapel with visitation starting at 6:00 pm.
