Celina Ayala de Garcia Obituary
Celina Ayala de Garcia, 83, of Moline, Illinois, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, at home.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Father Antonio Dittmer officiating. Visitation is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, where the Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
The former Celina Ayala Herrera was born November 20, 1941, in La Joyita, Mexico, the daughter of Prudencio Ayala and Maria de Jesus Herrera. She married the love of her life, Leopoldo Garcia Rosas and the couple soon after gave welcomed their son and pride and joy, Juan Garcia.
Celina loved spending time on her plants and in her garden. She also enjoyed needlepoint, sewing, and quilting. Most of all, Celina cherished time spent with her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband of over 57 years, Leopoldo; her daughter-in-law, Julia Torres of Moline; two grandchildren, Juan Pablo Garcia-Torres and Clarita Garcia-Torres; and a sister, Oliva. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Juan Garcia Ayala; and two sisters, Graciela and Amalia.

La Misa de Sepultura Cristiana será a las 10:00 a.m. el sábado 22 de noviembre, en la Iglesia Católica St. Mary’s, con el Padre Antonio Dittmer como celebrante. La visitación será de 4:00 a 6:00 p.m. el viernes, en el salón Horizon de Trimble Funeral Home en Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, donde se rezará el Santo Rosario a las 4:00 p.m. El sepelio será en el Cementerio Riverside, Moline. Se pueden hacer memoriales a la familia.
La señora Celina Ayala Herrera nació el 20 de noviembre de 1941, en La Joyita, México, hija de Prudencio Ayala y María de Jesús Herrera. Se casó con el amor de su vida, Leopoldo García Rosas, y poco después la pareja dio la bienvenida a su hijo y orgullo, Juan García.
