Cesar was born in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines and resided in Pittsburg, California. He was married to his beloved wife, Joanne Gopez for 41 years, and devoted father to Jessica and CJ Gopez.
He is survived by his wife Joanne, children Jessica and CJ, sisters Erlinda Nash, Nena Timbol, Ludy Edoria, Remedies Gatmaitan and brother Fidel Gopez along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was the son of the late Fortunato and Anicia Gopez and proceeded by brothers Jose (Pepe) Gopez, Alex Gopez, Herminigildo Gopez and sisters Agnes Gopez and Sonia Gopez
Cesar had a passion for his birds, looking at muscle cars and surprising family with little 'thinking of you' for starbucks, birthday, lunch or just because. Cesar was known for texting family members with funny jokes, food recipes and deals of the day.
A funeral service celebrating Cesar's life will be held on, Thursday, September 4th, at 11:00am, followed by inurnment and reception at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette. Visitation will be held prior to funeral service from 10:00am-11:00am.
Cesar will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a loving husband, an incredible father, loving brother, special uncle and a friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, and his legacy of love will continue to inspire those he touched.
