(Español) Cesar R. Zamarrón Gómez, de 58 años, de Toledo, Iowa, falleció el martes 18 de noviembre de 2025 en el Hospital UPH- St. Luke’s en Cedar Rapids.
Se invita a familiares y amigos a asistir a la visitacion el lunes 24 de noviembre de 2025 de 9:00 A.M. a 11:00 A.M. en la Iglesia Católica de San Patricio en Tama, Iowa. Le seguirá una misa católica, que comenzará a las 11:00 A.M., también en la iglesia. Se realizarán los ritos de cremación después de sus servicios, y el entierro se llevará a cabo en una fecha posterior en México. Los obsequios conmemorativos pueden ser dirigidos a la familia para una designación posterior. La Funeraria Mitchell ha recibido el encargo de cuidar de César y su familia. Cesar Rafael Zamarron Gomez nació el 1 de octubre de 1967 en Miñaca, Chihuahua, México. Fue hijo de José Reyes Zamarron Urbina y Adela Gomez Peña. César era el mayor de cinco hijos. Creció en Miñaca, México, donde tuvo la oportunidad de continuar su educación y asistir a la universidad técnica. El 20 de diciembre de 1998, César se casó con el amor de su vida, Argelia Acosta Favela, en Ciudad Juárez, México, y de esta unión nacieron sus dos hijos varones. En 2001 se trasladaron a Toledo, Iowa. César trabajó durante muchos años como operador de máquinas en Engineered Plastic Components, Inc. en Grinnell.
Si César no estaba trabajando, estaba viendo partidos de fútbol o béisbol en su televisor. También disfrutaba ver a su hijo menor luchar y jugar al fútbol en la escuela. César estaba muy orgulloso de los logros de su hijos. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y era conocido por ser un gran cocinero a la parrilla.
Cesar le sobrevive su esposa Argelia Acosta Favela; sus dos hijos: Cesar e Israel Zamarron; sus hermanos: Patricia, Gabriela, Analilia (Raul Alvarez Gomez) y Cuauhtemoc (Blanca Zamarron) Zamarron Gomez; sus sobrinos: Isaias, Yvonne y Leonardo Acosta Almaras, Edwin, Sergio y Gabriel Chavez Acosta, Hazel, Abraham y Adriana Magaña Acosta, Jesus, Manuel, Fernando y Eric Samuel Cervantes, Ana Gabriela Aranda y Abril Alvarez Zamarron; sus suegros: Maria del Pilar Favela y Teodoro Acosta; sus cuñados: Isaias (Sandra), Elizabeth (Juan Gabriel Chavez), Ana Violeta (Eraclio Magaña) y Abigai (Jesus Cervantes) Acosta Favela; y sus ahijados: Jesus Cervantes y Hazel Magaña.
Fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres: Jose y Adela.
(English) Cesar R. Zamarron Gomez, age 58, of Toledo, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at UPH- St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tama, Iowa. A Catholic mass will follow, beginning at 11:00 A.M, also at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following his services, and burial will take place at a later date in Mexico. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Cesar and his family. Cesar Rafael Zamarron Gomez was born October 1, 1967, in Miñaca, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was the son of Jose Reyes Zamarron Urbina and Adela Gomez Peña. Cesar was the oldest of five children. He grew up in Miñaca, Mexico, where he had the opportunity to further his education and attend technical college. On December 20, 1998 Cesar married the love of his life Argelia Acosta Favela in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and from this union their two boys were born. In 2001 they relocated to Toledo, Iowa. Cesar worked for many years as a machine operator at Engineered Plastic Components, Inc. in Grinnell.
If Cesar wasn’t working, he was either watching soccer or baseball games on his television. He also enjoyed watching his younger son wrestle and play soccer at school. Cesar was very proud of his son’s accomplishments. He loved spending time with his family and was known as a great cook on the grill.
Cesar is survived by his wife Argelia Acosta Favela; his two sons: Cesar and Israel Zamarron; his siblings: Patricia, Gabriela, Analilia (Raul Alvarez Gomez), and Cuauhtemoc (Blanca Zamarron) Zamarron Gomez; his nieces and nephews: Isaias, Yvonne, and Leonardo Acosta Almaras, Edwin, Sergio, and Gabriel Chavez Acosta, Hazel, Abraham, and Adriana Magaña Acosta, Jesus, Manuel, Fernando, and Eric Samuel Cervantes, Ana Gabriela Aranda and Abril Alvarez Zamarron; his parents-in-law: Maria del Pilar Favela and Teodoro Acosta; his siblings-in-law: Isaias (Sandra), Elizabeth (Juan Gabriel Chavez), Ana Violeta (Eraclio Magaña), and Abigai (Jesus Cervantes) Acosta Favela; and his God children: Jesus Cervantes and Hazel Magaña. He is preceded in death by his parents: Jose and Adela.
