It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Kendra, 58, and Chad, 55, who were tragically taken from us in a double homicide on February 26th, along with their 2 dogs. Their lives were a testament to love, faith, and devotion, leaving an everlasting mark on all who knew them.
Kendra was a dedicated Human Resources professional at Medtronic, where her compassion and diligence touched countless lives through her work. Chad served with equal commitment in the field at CenturyLink, bringing integrity and care to everything he did. Together, they built a life rooted in their deep Christian faith, which guided them as devoted members and servants of Flatirons Community Church and as pillars of their community.
Kendra was the most down to earth, loving, and kind mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. She loved her wine, dogs, lake days, Sundays at Church and family more than life itself. She loved to laugh at Chad's silly jokes and make goofy comments all the time. She loved her 2 boys and her Husband more than anything and never let life get in the way of that. She was the best cook and the boys never missed a meal growing up. If you knew her, you knew she cared deeply about not only her family but her friends and their lives.
For those who knew Chad, you know he definitely was not a big talker. In all seriousness, he loved to just simply talk with his closest people and spend time with family and friends. His favorite thing was working out, lake days, and watching football and UFC with his 2 boys. He was always the hardest worker in the room and despite all his shoulder struggles, he managed to continue digging deep and not giving up or being the most friendly guy at the gym. More than anything he loved his boys and his wife with all of his heart, mind, and soul.
Above all, they were the most loving parents to their two sons, Brady and Cole. Their home was a haven of warmth, filled with laughter, encouragement, and unwavering support. They cherished lake days, where the family would laugh and relax in the peace of each other's presence and the lake itself, and they found joy in staying active together at the gym. Family time was their greatest treasure, whether gathered around a meal or watching a Broncos game or UFC fight night.
Kendra and Chad will be remembered for their lovingness, kindness, their strength, and the light and smiles they brought into every room. Though their lives were cut short by a senseless act, their legacy continues in the hearts of their sons, their family, and the countless friends and colleagues who were blessed to know them. A double-memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette.
"May they rest in eternal peace, reunited in the arms of Jesus."
Please afford this family some privacy as they navigate the first few days of this tragedy.

I worked with Chad for several years. I worked in the Northglenn Central Office and often talked to Chad on the phone. He would occasionally come into the CO and I always enjoyed talking to him. Mary Ann Sawyer

Chad I loved working with you when I was a tech you were always so encouraging and happy always smiling. Just a wonderful guy. I met Kendra at a function at Lodos and it was so cute because you guys were trying to figure out where to spend your 20th anniversary. That was a long time ago. It´s just heartbreaking and unbelievable that anybody would hurt you guys why would anybody take your precious lives? I will always remember your smile and your happiness and your lovely wife, Kendra whom you proudly introduced to me and all our coworkers that were at that function. You´re always been happy and I just know you´re with the Lord now and that´s the only thing that gjves me peace.

No one is ever good at writing or receiving condolences, especially under such horrifically tragic circumstances. Most often I paraphrase a quote that I love and find comforting... It's not the years in a life, but the life in those years that matter most. I know Chad and Kendra needed more years, we all needed them to have that. But the life in their years made their lives, and the lives around them so much better with the warmth, laughs, and hugs they exuded every day. Not a moment was wasted and we should all live just like that. They would want that, and it would be a testament to them to do so.
