Earlier today
Father God, I spoke with Chad many many months ago as he was preparing for brain surgery and I asked him the question of if you had one wish or one desire what would it be and he said the only thing I wish I could do was make sure that my nieces those little girls who I was blessed to have in my home. I was blessed to take care of them and to love them that they would grow up and know that their uncle Chad thought the world of them and that they would know that they were always welcome in my home and I would want to have them back in my home and if I die, I hope that God makes a way for me to look over them and to watch out for them when I´m in heaven, though I wasn´t able to be there for many more physically in my home and in my life, I´d wanna look over them if something happened to me. That´s my only thought. I love them like they could´ve been my own kids, and the whole of my heart will never be filled.
I suggested that he reached out to them prior to having his brain surgery and he declined. He said it would cause too much havoc and hassle, and I was sad for him.
The day Chad asked me to come and load up all of the toys and games and Christmas gifts and desks and bunkbeds, and all that he had in his home that belonged to those precious children. He asked me to take it to make purpose of it and to use it for the community and all of those wonderful things he donated thousands of dollars worth of toys and furniture and clothing and all kinds of things we´re given to my very good friend Bob Kendal at the shop and they were distributed to children and families in the community. It was beautiful, but the day did come when Chad needed those things gone out of the home. They were a reminder of our life he didn´t have anymore, his broken heart for those children being absent. I believe it´s very similar to the broken heart I have with his absence he was a friend that I could call every day. He´s a friend that I could sit on the leather sofa in his shop that I gave him and we could visit and just talk about God talk about life complain about the community and what wasn´t or was going on just truly a genuine, transparent man. He said what he meant, and he meant what he said, and he didn´t soften things - he was genuine and honest Shepherd and bullheaded. He was uniquely him.
I called him Chad every day that I knew him and he insisted I call him. Cooter and I just had never do that.
So here you go, Chad
Hey Cooter, rest in peace. Well done. I´ll see you soon. God bless Chad´s family, his friends, the community in which he served and he gave and God bless the United States, Lord father God, moving us, direct us and improve us so we could be better servants of yours.
