In Loving Memory of Chanty Suon
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Chanty Suon, who left this world on September 28, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She took her last breath while surrounded by the love of her family. In her final moments, she raised her hand as if to wave goodbye and to let us know that her soul was at peace and that she was ready to leave this life.
Born in Cambodia, Chanty was a true survivor. She endured and overcame the horrors of the Cambodian genocide, later building a life of hope and strength in a new place. Throughout her life, she faced unimaginable challenges - yet she met each one with unyielding courage and extraordinary resilience.
Chanty leaves behind her devoted husband (Voeun Neng) of 46 years, her three beloved daughters (Navy Neng, Nanda Neng and Amara Neng), her cherished son-in-law (Clark Gourgue), and her two adored grandsons (Wesley Gourgue and Lincoln Gourgue) who were the lights of her life and brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her dear sister (Phally Svay) and her entire loving family.
Her loved ones will remember her as someone who was tough yet tender. Everything she did came from love. Even when faced with cancer, dementia, a stroke, and heart attack, she never stopped fighting. Her family takes great comfort in knowing that her pain has ended and that she can finally rest now.

Visitation in the Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Newton on Monday, October 6, from 11am to 1pm followed immediately by a Buddhist Funeral Ceremony. After the ceremony, we will proceed to Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut St, for Chanty's burial.
