Thomas H. Terrio, Jr., of Newton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Known affectionately to many as "Tico," he was raised in West Newton, MA, the son of Thomas Terrio Sr. and Eleanor (Arduino) Terrio.

Tom was a proud graduate of Newton High School and Michigan State University. For 35 years, he worked as a heating and air conditioning contractor and managed commercial real estate. He took great pride in his work and had a natural talent for his craft.

Known for his great sense of humor and described by many as "one of a kind" and "full of life," Tom embraced each day to the fullest. His interests were wide-ranging: running, skiing, golfing, music, reading, and sports among them; but what he cherished most was spending time with friends. He maintained many circles of friendships, each deeply important to him, and especially treasured the lifelong bonds he formed with classmates from Newton High.

Cape Cod, held a special place in his heart since childhood. In retirement, he spent summers at his home in Harwich Port surrounded by friends and family. Tom was also known for his generosity, quietly helping many throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter Bethany Terrio and her husband, Dean Rosati; Katherine Terrio; and his siblings Timothy Terrio, Dianne Newton, and Rosanna Gliexner. He was predeceased by his brother George "Toby" Terrio and his sister Gabrielle Mazzola.
