Charlene A. Castello, 62, of Lakeview, OH, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, August 15, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.

Charlene was born on August 25, 1962, in Lima, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph Hicks and Ruth Webb Youngpeters. She married Doug Ferrell, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by an infant grandson, Rhilynn Risner.

Charlene is survived by her children, Jennifer (Jacqlyn) Castello of Belle Center, OH, Jessica Castello of Columbus, OH, Chris Collingsworth of Lakeview, and Lindsay Collingsworth, seven grandchildren, Addison, Calin, Mikayla Hodge, Jaidon Gillie, Khael Collingsworth, Brinley Tilton, and Fynleigh Richardson, her dad, Jerry Youngpeters of Lakeview, a sister, Liz Buscher of Lewistown, OH, and a brother, Eric (Sandy) Youngpeters of Wapakoneta, OH.

Charlene was a 1980 graduate of Allen East High School. She enjoyed playing golf, watching The Price Is Right, Soap Operas, and NASCAR. She was a fan of Jimmy Johnson. Charlene loved her dogs, spending time on the beach, and especially being with her grandchildren. Charlene favorite pastime was socializing, and she was always the life of the party. She will be missed by those that knew her.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 5-7 pm, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Charlene's memory to Logan County Cancer Society, c/o Mary Rutan Hospital.

Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, OH. Condolences may be expressed at shoffstallfuneralhome.com.
