Charlene Frances Helean, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Born on December 19, 1950, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was a vibrant presence whose warmth and spirit touched the lives of many.
Charlene dedicated a significant part of her life to her role as a cashier at Walmart, where she sincerely enjoyed serving customers and making new friends. Her enthusiasm for life extended beyond her career; she was known for her passionate support of the Washington Redskins, OU football, and wrestling. In her leisure time, Charlene enjoyed family gatherings, video games, music, trips to Branson, and her cherished cats, which brought her joy and companionship.
She leaves behind her loving children, sons, Harley and Christian Helean of Chouteau, Oklahoma, and Carl Helean of Pryor, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her daughters, Jessica Williams and her husband Steven of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Tiffany Jensen and her husband Nick of Chouteau, Oklahoma. Her legacy will continue through her 10 beloved grandchildren who adored their grandmother. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jean North. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A memorial gathering honoring Charlene's life will be held on August 22, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM in the chapel at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service in Pryor, Oklahoma. The gathering will continue until 8:00 PM, allowing family and friends to share their memories and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman.
