Charlene Elizabeth Thompson

Charlene Elizabeth Thompson, 81, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home-just where she wanted to be-on November 3, 2025.
Born Charlene Elizabeth Lampkin in Cedartown, Georgia, Charlene lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by faith, family, and love. She worked for many years as a Nurse's Assistant, caring for others with patience, kindness, and a warm smile that could calm anyone's nerves. She had a gift for making people feel seen and heard, and she never hesitated to speak her mind-with love, of course.
Charlene was the kind of person who could turn an ordinary moment into a memory. She loved good conversation, laughter, and sharing stories on the phone (sometimes for hours). She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, and doting on her cat, Sweetie.
She leaves behind her brother, Charles Glenn; daughters, Pamela and Shelli; sons, Carlo and Allen; and grandchildren, Tinesha, Sophia, Tameka, Tonee, Martin, April, Lynnette, Simone, Roshae, China, Marchez, Tazaria, and Allen's three children. She is also remembered lovingly by a host of extended family, and countless friends who will carry her laughter and love with them always.
Charlene had a heart that welcomed everyone, a laugh that filled the room, and a spirit that never faded.
