Gloria Michelle Moton

Gloria Michelle "Chelle" Moton was born on November 6, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio, to LeRoy Maddox and Pamela Hardiman. She passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 56.
Raised in Columbus, Ohio, she attended Columbus City Schools and grew up at Friendship Baptist Church, where she was baptized young. Known for her warm, outgoing, generous, and trusting spirit, Gloria loved traveling, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines, and spending time with her family and friends.
Later in life, Gloria became a devoted member of the House of Prayer "Temple of the Ancient Hebrews," joining with her mother and sister, Tanya. In 2025, she traveled with her church family to the Holy Mountain, where she experienced a life-changing spiritual encounter that deepened her relationship with the Spirit of God and brought her renewed peace and strength.
For the past two years, she was employed at Meijer on Hamilton Road, where she worked faithfully and touched the lives of those around her with kindness and joy.
Preceded in Death By: Her father, LeRoy Maddox; her grandparents; her aunts and uncles; and other beloved relatives.
Survived By: Her mother, Pamela Jean Hardiman; her brother, Darren K. Moton; her sisters, Leondra (Adrian) Cummings, Lesley Maddox, and Tanya Moton; her aunts, Alfreda Maddox, Wendy (Danny) Whitty, and Monica Williams; her uncles, James Maddox and Alfred Maddox; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
