Charles F. "Charlie" Abromitis

1965 - 2022

Charles F. "Charlie" Abromitis, 57, of Macungie, PA went to be with the Lord on October 24th after losing his battle to cancer. Charlie passed away in his home surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and puppies. Born August 21, 1965, in Shamokin, PA to the late Charles and Mary Ann (Kabo) Abromitis. Charlie was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School Class of 1983 and Penn State University Class of 1987. Charlie was most recently employed in the Quality Control Department at Freshpet in Bethlehem, PA. Charlie loved sports (he played all but football in High School). He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and dogs. Charlie enjoyed traveling with his son's baseball team and spending time with the "Baseball Dads." He was a lifelong Phillies, Dolphins and PSU Fan attending their games often.

Survivors: Wife, Sharon (Thomas) Abromitis; daughters, Stesha Barcavage of Shamokin, PA, Macey Abromitis and her fiancé Tom Haug of Freemansburg, PA, Regan Abromitis of Salt Lake City, UT; son, Mason Abromitis at home who is a baseball player at Elon University, NC; grandchildren, Leah (Bones) Kosmer and Halle Swank of Shamokin; his dogs Dansby and Grover; grand puppies Raiden, Sonya, Valley and Sike; brother-in-law, John Fawney Thomas, mother-in-law, Corrine (Hoy) Thomas; Aunt, Barbara (Hoy) Kessler all of Shamokin; siblings, John Abromitis and his wife Evelyn of Bradenton, FL, Charlene Cove and her husband Larry of Catawissa, PA, Mary Musinski and her husband Patrick of West Pittston, PA. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 31st in the Holy Ghost Catholic Church 417 Carlton Ave, Bethlehem, PA. Friends and family may call 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. Sunday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown and 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Monday in the church. www.stephensfuneral.com.
