Charles Henry Alexander, 80, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Services are pending at this time.

Charlie was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, February 12, 1945 to Otis and Elizabeth (Comer) Alexander. He attended the local school and worked with his family in the cotton fields. Charlie lived in Florida for a time but made his home at Lake Brownwood, Texas. He worked as a carpenter doing renovations. Give this man a hammer and a nail and he could build you a bookcase. Dad was the kind of man who could build a home with his hands and family together with his heart. He was more than a man who worked with wood, he was a builder of memories, a mender of wounds. He was a devoted father, a grandfather- always showing up no matter the time, no matter the occasion- he was there. He was a friend whose compassion and deep empathy touched everyone who knew him. He taught by example, how to work hard, love deeply, stay humble- he wasn't loud, he wasn't flashy, he was steady. He found joy in the simple things. His smile and laughter can light up the room.

Charles leaves behind a family who adored him, a legacy of love that will carry on through every gathering, every moment someone says 143- and we smile through the tears. He was more than a father-he was the father who stepped up. Charles raised two young girls, Saviah and Stormi, as his own, offering them the security, guidance, and love that only a true dad could give. His devotion extended to the next generation, where he proudly carried the title of "Papa." He adored his grandchildren Brayleigh, CharLynn, Kaceton, Kaibrielle, Acklyn and Koehn and they, in turn, adored him. Three of them even carry his name, a lasting tribute to the man whose love and influence will never be forgotten.

He was a hero to me. He was and will always be deeply loved.
