Charles (Charlie) W. Anderson went to meet the Lord on Friday August 8, 2025 He was 96.

He was the beloved husband of Joan M. Anderson with whom he had shared 72 years of marriage.

Charlie was raised in The Bronx, NY. He was a member of Somerset Presbyterian Church in New Jersey beginning in 1964 serving in various capacities including elder and deacon, before relocating to Tennessee for retirement and continuing his faith at Tellico Community Church. His faith, love for God, and love for others was prominent throughout his life.

Charlie was an Air Force veteran and served during the occupation of Japan as a radio and radar operator and technician and witnessed many survivors of the atom bombing. His second hitch was during the Korean War. Finally discharged, he married Joan in 1952. They moved to New Jersey and raised their children Eric and Lisa.

Charlie's first real job was with Western Union as a buyer. Then with RCA at their satellite manufacturing facility in Princeton as a subcontract manager negotiating contracts for rockets and other satellite components. The facility was finally bought out by Lockheed Martin.

He retired in 1995 and moved to Tellico Village, TN in 1997. Very active in the Woodworker Club, Charlie served as secretary, newsletter publisher, program committee chair, Toys for Tots chair, and many other functions. Charlie and Joan moved to an Independent living facility in December 2020, where he continued to play an active part; writing the monthly newsletter, playing poker, completing jigsaw puzzles and overall being a friend to many of the Prime community.

Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Surviving are his wife, Joan, sister, Dorothy, his son, Eric and daughter-in-law, Betty, and his daughter, Lisa and son-in-law Rob. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Emily and her fiancee Peter, Elizabeth, Robert, Colin, Carly and her husband Alex, and great grandson, Brady; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his brother, Raymond, sister, Virginia, and mother Frieda.

The bible tells us in Rev 21:4 that there will be no more tears, and death shall be no more. Come celebrate Charlie's life.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, August 21st at 2:00 pm with an Honor Guard Ceremony at 3:00 pm, with celebratory spoken words following until 4:00 pm at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel 11915 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934
