He was born in Muncie on November 24, 1938, the son of Sylvester and Lilly (Maples) Anderson. Charlie served time in the ARMY branch of the military and worked at the Chevrolet plant in Muncie before retiring. He enjoyed camping and building specialty cars.
Survivors include: Cindy Dorgan (Bob), Kim Murphy (Larry) and Kelly Harless (Larry) and a special friend Sue Anderson. His sisters: Pat Caudill, Linda Teegarden (JR), Hazel Tapley (Larry) and Darlene Brown (Jim), 3 grand children, and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Vergie Caldwell, a grand child and a great grand child.
Friends and family may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory located at 415 E. Washington Street, Muncie, IN 47305 on December 9, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Beech Grove Cemetery following the visitation.
