Charles Arthur Argent, age 84, was born on July 16, 1941, in Parrish, Alabama and met our Lord’s face on February 27, 2026, surrounded by his wife and loved ones in Bayview, Alabama. He graduated from Minor High School in 1959 and leaves behind a wonderful legacy. He was a Birmingham Police Officer for 15 years, as well as an insurance agent for almost 40 years working with and for several different insurance companies.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lucy Argent; his sister Alice Faye Lindsey; his brothers Larry Argent and Bobby Argent. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judy Argent; his children, Mistydawn Argent Haynes (Bobby), Scott Argent (Christie), and Dana Argent Bush (Scot Wade); his grandchildren Chace Argent (Asha), Cody Argent (Courtney), Caylin Argent Manuel (Patrick), Danielle Haynes, Alex Bush, and Sarah Ann Haynes and his great grandchildren Dalton Manuel, Allie Manuel, Emma Argent, Rhett Argent, Easton Argent, and Emmett Argent.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening, March 3, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Mulga Baptist Church with Bro. Cranford Hicks and Bro. Allen Cunningham officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Graveside service will be held Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 AM at Village Falls Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Haynes, Dalton Manuel, Patrick Manuel, Chace Argent, Cody Argent and Scott Argent.
