Charles Baker

Charles Wade Baker, age 77, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his residence. He retired from Dow Chemical. Veteran of both the United States Marine Corp (USMC) and the United States Navy. Member of the VFW in Newark. Charles was an avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, Ohio State Buckeyes fan and he loved to shoot pool. He was very hands on and handy and it didn't matter if it was 5 degrees out, he really enjoyed being outside. Preceded in death by, parents, Jesse and Mildred Baker, sister, Joanne, brothers, Jim and Tommy. Survived by, loving wife of 51 years, Nancy, whom he loved to travel with, sons, Joshua (Tonya) Baker and Jeremiah Bakerstull, grandchildren, Chase, Bryce, Alex, Andrew, Wade and Atticus, great grandchildren, Scarlett Rose Baker and Greyson Allen Charles Baker, sisters, Mary and Nancy, brothers, Jeff, Terry, Greg and Mike, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Private family arrangements have been completed with JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St.
