CHARLES BALDWIN
Charles Francis Baldwin, age 81, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles, Missouri. He was born February 7, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, a son of Charles Edward and Eva (Grenser) Baldwin.
On June 7, 1980, he was united in marriage to Karen. Together they have shared the past forty-one years of marriage.
Charles was raised in Fairmont, Missouri and attended Van Horn High School before entering the United States Navy. He served his country proudly from 1957 to 1977. He worked as a Department of Defense contractor through Vitro Corp and TRW Space Defense Systems until his retirement in 1994. In his retirement, he worked as a realtor from 1994 to 2004.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Baldwin of the home; five children, James Baggett and spouse Neil, Sherry Kay Chapman and husband Bob, Connie Jones and husband Jay, Teresa Decker and husband Lance and Rachel Lewis; twelve grandchildren, Heather Jones and husband Erik, Jaxon Decker, Kristy Williams, Jace Decker, Weston Williams, Jeremy Decker, Jennifer Wilbanks and husband Brett, Cash Decker, NinaAnne Blanton and husband Michael, BobbyLee Chapman, Trisha Lewis and Melanie Lewis; twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson, Hunter who was his smile. He loved his family and spending time with them gave him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter Lee Baldwin.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm., Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Versailles First Assembly of God Hearth Room. Burial will be at sea at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the A.S.P.C.A.
Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles assisted the family with arrangements.
