NORTH RICHLAND HILLS - Charles Thomas Barlow, 74, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023, in his home.
Service: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2023, at Mount Olivet Chapel in the Breyley Suite.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 19, 1949, to parents, Clinton and Elenor (Ermine) Barlow. He was the youngest of five siblings and was their only son. Chuck was raised in Baltimore, where he graduated from Kenwood High School in 1968. After graduating high school, Chuck enlisted in the Airforce and was stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Chuck served seven years in the Airforce and continued his career in the HVAC commercial industry for 41 years, until his retirement in 2015.
In 1970, Chuck married Carol Zeiler, and the couple had two boys, Erik in 1970, and Brian in 1972. After his divorce in 1996, he later remarried Vickie Clowers, in 2002 and they remained married until his death.
Chuck had a profound love for music, and played bass guitar in a band in his high school years. His love of music spanned in a wide-range of genres. Chuck loved all animals and enjoyed feeding any feral animal that came across his doorstep. He was an avid reader and loved history and took a particular interest in the Titanic and the JFK assassination. In his spare time, Chuck loved playing board games and computer games.
Survivors: Wife, Vickie Barlow; son, Erik, and wife, Sandi; son, Brian; and stepson, Tyler Clowers; grandsons, Rowan Barlow and wife, Milan, and Alexander Barlow; sisters, Kathryn Lough, Jean Hodgeson, Ruth Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
