Charles Alexander Black, born on August 22, 1947, in Lynn, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025.
Charles was a dedicated RN Nurse who cared deeply for his patients and their families. Charles served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War as an HM3 E4 and was a corpsman from July 12, 1966, to June 25, 1970. And reenlisted in the Coast Guard, where he achieved the rank of master chief and served in the Persian Gulf War and the Coast Guard reserves, and retired after 20 years of service. He was employed in the healthcare sector as a testament to his enduring commitment to service and compassion. Charles was more than his occupation. He was a devoted husband, a special friend, and a person to those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Carol LeBlanc-Black, his daughter Amy Linke, his stepchildren Renee LeBlanc and Ryan LeBlanc, his grandson Daniel Linke, his granddaughter Kara Linke, and his sister Susan Quigley. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Charles Sr. and Jean Black.
Charles was an avid outdoorsman who cherished ice fishing, camping, swimming, and the beach. Living by the lake and his love for the outdoors were his life's greatest joys. His love for life was infectious, and his zest for adventure will be fondly remembered by his loved ones. He was a beacon of strength and resilience, always inspiring those around him with his unwavering spirit.
As we bid farewell to Charles, we invite all who knew and loved him to join us in celebrating his life. We encourage those who knew Charles to leave memories and upload photos below. His life and legacy will be celebrated and remembered through the stories and shared experiences from those he touched.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, 01475.
The Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts 01475, at 2:00 p.m.
