Charles F. Borowski, a dedicated family man and accomplished architect, passed away on August 25, 2023, in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA. Charles was born on February 10, 1926, in Philadelphia to proud parents. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion, and love for his family and country.
Charles began his educational journey by graduating from North Catholic High School's esteemed Class of 1944. Driven by his passion for architecture, he pursued higher education at Drexel University. There, he diligently studied and earned his bachelor's degree in architecture. This accomplishment was a testament to Charles' unwavering commitment to his profession.
During World War II, Charles joined in 1944 and served with pride in the US Navy. He was stationed on the USS Alaska (CB-1), where he and his ship participated in historic battles of Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. He demonstrated bravery and dedication while fulfilling his duty to his country. His military service is a testament to his sense of duty and honor.
Beyond his professional achievements and military service, Charles will be remembered as a devoted husband and father. He shared an incredible bond with his wife Wanda F. Borowski (nee Szczepanik). Their love was an inspiration to all who knew them. Charles also leaves behind his loving daughter Eileen Borowski and son Charles Borowski. His family meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to immediate family members, Charles had a close relationship with his nephew and nieces Ray, Michael, Debi, and Steve Borowski. They shared many special memories together throughout the years.
Charles was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. He approached every project with meticulous attention to detail, leaving an indelible mark wherever he lent his architectural expertise.
Outside of work, Charles enjoyed various hobbies that spoke to his vibrant personality. Whether it was traveling or pursuing creative endeavors during his free time, he embraced life with enthusiasm and zest.
The visitation in loving memory of Charles F. Borowski is scheduled for September 1, 2023, at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home located at 2614 Orthodox St, Philadelphia, PA 19137. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM. The funeral mass will be held in St. John Cantius Church immediately following the visitation at 11:30am. Interment is scheduled precisely at 2pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
Charles F. Borowski will always be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, accomplished architect, and esteemed veteran. His unwavering dedication to his family and profession touched the lives of many. While he may no longer be with us, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Charles' family and friends during this challenging time. May they find comfort in the beautiful memories shared with him and draw strength from the impact he made on their lives.
