Charles Ray Bray, 87, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 18, 2025.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with pastor Doug Bray officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the family home. Burial will follow the service at Danville Memorial Gardens.
Charles was born in Axton Virginia to the late Sony Arthur Bray and Anna Taylor Bray. He was a special person, loved making people laugh. He loved his family with all his heart, especially his devoted wife and son, loved the Lord and going to church, watching his favorite TV shows Daniel O’ Donnell, Gun smoke and his game shows. Back in the day he would spend his free time fixing cars. Charles will be very missed.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Oliver, Clayton and Buck Bray; sisters, Gracie B Shelton and Pauline B Davis.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia B Bray; son, Scottie Ray Bray; special brother-in-law, Robert Jr Lucas, special friend David Finney, as well as a loving group of extended family and friends.
