Charles Edward Brockenbrough
November 1, 1940 – March 9, 2024
Charles Edward Brockenbrough, 83, of Holly Hill passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
Charles "Charlie" was born in Amherst, Virginia. After spending most of his youth in Virginia, his family moved to Florida. Charlie made Florida his home for many years. He always enjoyed being near the ocean and made Holly Hill his recent home.
He was an Army veteran, proudly serving his country. After leaving the Army, Charlie worked for IBM until he retired. Charlie was a creative photographer and would spend months traveling and taking wonderful pictures. He was especially fond of the National Parks, enjoying camping, nature, and the outdoors. When Charlie wasn't traveling, he was visiting family and frequently helping others.
Charlie is survived by his sister, Suzanne (Jack) Parmentier and his brother-in-law, Warren E. (Gene) Sikes, along with several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Ruby W. Hickey, his sister, Margaret Ray Brockenbrough Sikes, and his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Barbara Brockenbrough.
Per Charlie's wishes there will be no memorial service.
