Charles Allen Bryant

Charles Allen Bryant, 82, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in Seymour, Indiana. He was born April 13, 1943, in Scott County, Kentucky, to the late Myrtle Lee Bryant and George Bryant.

Charles was raised in Scott County and lived most of his life in Stamping Ground and Georgetown, Kentucky, until the passing of his beloved wife, Louise Green Bryant, in late 2017. Following her death, he moved to Seymour, Indiana, to be closer to his family.

Charles was a retired supervisor with Swifty Oil Company and was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

He will be fondly remembered by his daughter, Stephanie Marcum; his son-in-law, Kyle Brown; his grandchildren, Sarah Marcum, Joshua (Morgan) Brown, Kena (Arron) O'Neal, Kaylie (William) Miller, Amanda Downs (Andrew), and Heidi Marcum; and his eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Bryant; his daughters, Teresa Brown and Regina Weldon; his brothers, Lawrence Bryant, Homer Bryant, Clayton Bryant, George Bryant, and Joe Bryant; and his sisters, Jeraldine Barron, Gertie Wright, Gladys Jump, and Ollie Pessimer.

Services will be private. Charles will be laid to rest beside his wife in Georgetown Cemetery.
