He was born on August 3, 1969 in Charleston; he was the son of Charles Lee Burkhamer and Sue Cutlip Burkhamer.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Jeremy Burkhamer.
Charles was the chief of police in Rupert and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He loved his police work and absolutely loved his children.
Survivors are his loving wife, Jessica Gilles Burkhamer; father and mother, Charles and Sue; daughter, Kayla Miller of Clay county; daughter, Kelsey Burkhamer of Charleston; son, Landon Burkhamer; daughter, Aeriale Burkhamer of Rupert; daughter, Shylah Burkhamer of Rupert; son, Thayden Burkhamer of Rupert; step daughter, Faith Lewis; step daughter, Hope Lewis of Rupert; Brothers, Scott Burkhamer of Clay county, David Burkhamer of Clay county and a sister, Keri Peist of Charleston.
Per his request, he will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2023 at Bascom United Methodist Church, Rupert with Pastor Paula McCoy.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the funeral home.
