Born in Anderson, he was the son of Barbara Wiley Byrum and the late Charles F. Byrum, Sr. Charles was a 1990 graduate of Westside High School and a 1992 graduate of Tri-County Technical College. He earned several degrees and certificates at TCTC over the 27 years of his working career. He was currently employed at Nestlé Purina in Hartwell, Ga. He was a member of Graceview Church in Anderson.
Survivors include his always faithful and loving wife of 32 years, Melissa Dove Byrum; daughters, Morgan G. Byrum Kay and Madison H. Byrum; mother, Barbara Byrum; sister, Tammy Evans (Tim); mother-in-law, Ann W. Dove; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wesley and Miriam Dove; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Duffie and Amanda Cochran; and several nephews and a niece who loved "Uncle Chucky".
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Richard D. Dove.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 17, at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Pastor Mark Pollard. Entombment will follow at Roberts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Sullivan-King Mortuary. The family will be at their respective homes.
