Born on June 3, 1977, in Columbia, SC, Catherine was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend. She is survived by her father, Steve Melton (Rita); mother, Jackie Laughlin; three children, Alyssa Goodwin, Stephen Goodwin, and Madeline Rawls, as well as her beloved grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Suzanne Melton of Augusta, GA, Samanth Morgan of North Augusta, SC, and Loan Desalle of Las Vegas, NV, as well as many other family members and friends who loved her
deeply.
Catherine spent much of her life caring for others, both personally and professionally. As a former Licensed Practical Nurse, she brought kindness, compassion, and strength to everyone she met. At home, she was the heart of her family; a wonderful cook, a beautiful singer, and someone who made every gathering feel like love and laughter lived there. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her selfless spirit, and her ability to make everyone feel cared for. Catherine took care of everyone, often putting others before herself, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
