Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Paw PawCharles Alan Cerny, 66, of Lawton, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 31, 2025, at his home in Lawton.
He was born December 4, 1958, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Edward Charles Cerny Jr. and Patricia J. (Garrett) Cerny.
Charles was a dedicated employee of Welch's in Lawton and retired from there after many years of service. He was a homebody and enjoyed the serenity of his home and property. He could often be found woodworking. Above all else, Charles adored his family, especially his two grandchildren. They lit up his life and he always looked forward to spending time with them. His grandchildren loved when he would sneak candy to them after mom said they'd had enough! Charles was a kind, loving and nurturing person and he will be missed tremendously.
He is survived by his daughter, Katie (James) Kiewiet; grandchildren, Mason and Isabelle Kiewiet; sister, Debra (late Rick) Brown and many nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Edward Cerny III; and sister, Patricia Mayne.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. A time to share memories of Charles will begin at 6:00 p.m.
