Charles U "Chuck" Chitty Jr.

Chitty, Jr. – Charles "Chuck" U. Chitty, Jr., age 75, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, under the care of Florida Hospice. Chuck was predeceased by his wife, Amelia, of 53 years, and his parents Charles U. Chitty, Sr. and Peggy Sue Chitty. Chuck is survived by two sons, Charles "Chuckie" U. Chitty, III and Chad Aaron Chitty; two sisters, Barbara Adcox (John) and Marie Merritt; nieces and nephews, Michelle Scott (Vic), Trace and Marli Scott, Jill Ward (Matt), Maci and Matthew Ward, John Adcox, III (Aryn), Kristy Merritt, Hope and Brandon. Chuck graduated from Wildwood High School in 1969 and completed the four-year SELCAT electrical apprenticeship program. He was founder of Heart Utilities, Inc. and later sold the company. Chuck was also the founder of C & C Powerline, Inc. and sold that company as well. He was a very talented and winning dirt track racecar driver for over 30 years. He was completing a massive project that included an underwater excavation and dredge system attached to a floating barge system which would capture the materials and filter for gold in the Bering Sea, Alaska. Had he not got sick he would have fulfilled that dream.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 14, 2025 at 11am In the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road Jacksonville FL, 32218, The Family will receive friends from 10-11am at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Ferreira Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home.
