Charles Leroy Radcliffe "Chuck", 91, passed away on December 11, 2024. Charles was born in Wheeling, WV on August 10, 1933 to the late Gwynn Leroy Radcliffe "Roy" and Hilda Thompson. Along with his parents Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Friend Radcliffe.
He is survived by his son, Stuart, wife Dena; daughter, Melinda Roseman, husband David; granddaughters Autumn Roseman Trask, and husband David; Amanda Radcliffe, Morgan Radcliffe, Haley Radcliffe; and his half-brothers, Tom, Robert, and Bill Radcliffe.
Charles graduated from Mckinley Vocational High School in Wheeling WV, and went on to attend West Virginia University. He then served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was an excellent salesman, taking a job that led him to eventually settle in the Carolinas with his wife and young family. He was outgoing, never met a stranger, and always curious about everyone he met. He loved being in the sun and near the water in warm weather.
Charles "Chuck" will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 21,2024 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC.
