Charles Collins Obituary
He was born on August 22, 1948 in Cadiz, KY to Oakley Collins and Lilly (nee: Rippy) Spicer.
Charles married Janet Harper in Edwardsville, IL on July 22, 1992.
The loving husband, father and grandfather retired from Prairie Farms Dairy after 25 years of service. Charles was an avid baseball and softball player and fan. He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Charles even played softball when in his 50's.
Charles is survived by his wife; 2 daughters: Angela (Lee) Davis of Granite City and Whitney (Ben) Murphy of Whereby Australia; 2 sons: Charles,Jr (Melissa) Collins of Granite City and Aaron ( Dana) Kershaw of Clearview, FL; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 2 sisters: Diane (Roger) Poe of Granite City and Nancy Collins of Alton, IL.
Besides his parents, Charles is preceded in death by a brother, James Collins and a sister, Hilda Cottrell.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
