Charles "Chuck" Sullivan Curtis, 76, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:15 pm, Monday, August, 4, 2025 at home with his family. He was born on May, 3, 1949, in Wabash, Indiana, to Olsene Albert and Louella Fern (Sullivan) Curtis.

Chuck was a 1967 graduate of Wabash High School and married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Diane Driscoll on August 22, 1970; she died on July 12, 2024. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and Elks Lodge 471. He served as the Elks State President in 1995-96. Chuck retired from Wabash City Schools after 37 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed reading, cooking, vacationing in Florida, spending time at Sechrist Lake, and socializing with his family and friends.

He is survived by his three children, Cara (Matt) Smith of Wabash, Indiana, Ryan (Jama) Curtis of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Gina (Grant) Hierlmeier of Plymouth, Indiana; five grandchildren, Bailey Smith of Muncie, Indiana, Jeffrey Curtis of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Olivia Curtis of Covington, Kentucky, Derrick Smith of Wabash, and Andie Hierlmeier of Plymouth. He also has two great-grandchildren, Reid and Lydia. Chuck is also survived by three sister-in-laws, Janet Poole, JoAnn Barrows, and Tammy Driscoll, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Elaine, his parents, sister, Judy and brother-in-law Guy Smith, brothers-in-law Gary Poole, Dave Barrows, and nephew Kim Poole.

There will be a Celebration of Chuck's life from 3-5 p.m., on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the Wabash Elks Lodge. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.

Preferred memorials are Elks Martin-Curtis Scholarship Fund or St. Bernard Catholic Elementary.
